Native American Heritage Month Spotlight NIC Commissioner Brian Wadsworth
Brian Wadsworth is a member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe (Kooyooe Tukadu). He currently works at BlueBird, CPAs, a Nevada based CPA firm that provides auditing and consulting and training services to Tribal Nations and casinos nationwide, as a Staff Auditor.
Brian graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in International Business. He holds a Master of Business Administration in American Indian Entrepreneurship from Gonzaga University and is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno. Mr. Wadsworth is currently in the process of obtaining his Certified Public Accountant license in the State of Nevada.
Brian is the former Chairman of the Board for the Pyramid Lake Jr./Sr. High School Board of Education (2014-2018). As well as a former Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Councilmember (2013-2015 and 2016-2018).
Brian proudly serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Numu, Inc., a Section 17 federal corporation for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe. Additionally, Brian is an active member of the University of Nevada, Reno Native American Alumni Chapter.
