Summit Lake Paiute Tribe Chair, Randi Lone Eagle (DeSoto)

Randi Lone Eagle (DeSoto),

Born and raised in Reno, NV to Melissa Eller and Robert DeSoto Sr; maternal grandparents Judy and Albino Trejo; paternal grandparents Gwendolyn Wadsworth DeSoto and Johnny DeSoto. Randi grew up in a very close-knit family. From an early adult age, Randi found a passion in serving the Numu people of Summit Lake Paiute Tribe. Randi served on both SLPT Higher Education and the Election Committee. Wanting to be more involved and have a voice, Randi was voted into tribal council in 2010. Randi quickly rose to Tribal Chairwoman and continues to hold that title. With her ingrained and iron-willed spirit, she has worked hard to ensure that the membership of the tribe is a priority, and that they continue to grow and prosper. She understands the needs of our tribal membership are much more difficult to achieve; however, not impossible. Randi’s love for the Summit Lake Paiute Members continually shows with the extra mile, go getter mentality Randi carries with her daily. In addition to holding the SLPT Tribal Chairwoman title, she also holds an Associates  Degree as a Registered Medical Assistant and Health Information Technology.

Randi is inspired daily by her husband Jared, daughter Chanel, two fur babies Luna and Tank and all the members of the Summit Lake Paiute Tribe.
