Native American Heritage Month, Did you know?

Nevada has the oldest rock art in N. America.

In a study, geochemist Larry Benson and his team concluded that the petroglyphs, located about 35 miles northeast of Reno at Winnemucca Lake, are at least 10,500 years old, and perhaps as much as 14,800 years old, making them the oldest art in North America. Experts also agree that these carvings point to our ancestors as being the first people of the New World. But we already know that.
